Conference registration is $200 and nonrefundable. It includes all concurrent sessions and workshops, as well as the following meals:

• Wednesday- Evening reception with beverages and hors d'oeuvres
• Thursday- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
• Friday- Breakfast and lunch

During registration, you may also choose to add dorm lodging and/or optional field trips.

Raritan River Boat Tour

Explore and learn about the lower Raritan River aboard the R/V Rutgers, a 36’ Munson research boat used as a mobile lab for the Department of Marine and Coastal Sciences at the Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences.

Duke Farms Tour

Duke Farms is a center for environmental stewardship in Hillsborough, NJ, that restores nature, demonstrates equitable climate solutions, and engages leaders through the work they do on their 2,700 acre campus. Duke Farms is a center of the Doris Duke Foundation, which strives to build a more creative, equitable, and sustainable future.
$62/person. Limit 30 people.

Honors College Dorms
Dorm rooms are available in the Honors College at 5 Seminary Place. Meals will be served in the Honors College South Lounge on the first floor, and sessions will take place next door in Academic Building West.

To reserve a dorm, you must select the dorm option during registration. You may opt for a single room ($76.00/night) or a double room ($58/night).

The dorms have shared bathrooms down the hall, and air conditioning throughout. Linens will be provided at the foot of the bed(s) and include sheets, a blanket, a towel, and a pillow.

Due to Rutgers Housing Policy, if you had only planned to stay one night in the dorms, either the Wednesday or the Thursday night, that is fine, however, you will be charged for both nights. Please contact us at climateaction@rutgers.edu if you have any questions about this. 

Hyatt Regency New Brunswick
A hotel block has been reserved at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick Hotel at 2 Albany Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. NECSC hotel block rooms are $189 per night, and you can reserve one using this link.

Transit

Thinking about taking Amtrak to NECSC ’26 instead of driving? Rutgers University’s proximity to mass transit provides this opportunity. While there is limited Amtrak direct service to New Brunswick via Amtrak’s Northeast Regional and Keystone Service lines during NECSC, you may find it easier and faster to take Amtrak to a nearby station and switch to NJ Transit.

New Brunswick Station is about a 10-minute (0.5 mi) walk from the Honors College and a 5-minute (0.2 mi) walk from the Hyatt.

From New England and Points North:

Option One: For any Amtrak train that stops at New York Penn Station, transfer is available to NJ Transit’s Northeast Corridor Line which stops directly in New Brunswick and runs frequently. Tickets can be purchased in advance using the NJTransit App.

Option Two: For anyone who would specifically take Amtrak’s Northeast Regional, another option is to stop in Metropark, NJ and then transfer to NJ Transit’s Northeast Corridor Line there. The advantage being this is a much smaller station than New York Penn with an easier transfer.

From Philadelphia, Harrisburg, and Points South:

For any Amtrak train that stops in Trenton or Princeton Junction, which looks to be many of them, transfer is available at both locations to NJ Transit’s Northeast Corridor line which stops in New Brunswick and runs frequently. Tickets can be purchased in advance using the NJTransit App.

If you're originating in the Philadelphia area, you can also take SEPTA's Trenton Line and transfer to the Northeast Corridor that way.

Flights

Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is the closest airport to New Brunswick, NJ. From your arrival terminal, you can take the Newark Airport Airtrain to the Newark Airport Train Station. New Jersey Transit’s Northeast Corridor Line runs frequently and stops at both the airport and New Brunswick.

Parking

Please use this link to register for visitor parking. When registering, click “Visitor” then enter your email and vehicle information to complete registration. Once completed you will receive an email and/or text confirmation.

Visitor parking will be available in the College Avenue Parking Deck (622 George Street, New Brunswick, 08901 | Google Maps) for the duration of the conference. The parking deck is about a 10-minute (0.4 mi) walk from the Honors College.

Rutgers University permit holders should only park in their designated lots.

We will be holding a swag swap! If you would like to participate, bring about $35 worth of your office’s branded merchandise. For example, this could be one sustainability office sweatshirt, or a t-shirt and a recycled bottle tote bag. You could also bring clean, used school swag you might have collected at Move Out.
