Procurement and Waste Management

Mission

The Procurement and Waste Management Climate Action Group will measure and reduce scope 3 emissions associated with non-food supply chain, procurement, and waste.

Scope

  • Develop a data collection system/methodology that will allow for comprehensive and consistent Scope 3 emissions reporting. 

  • Reduce indirect (Scope 3) emissions associated with the non-food supply chain, procurement, and waste by at least 30% by 2030 and increase overall supply chain sustainability 

    • Implement a comprehensive university source reduction and reuse policy and program 

    • Purchase products with reduced toxic chemicals
